I wish I’d checked this place sooner. The policy info was easy to find and wasn’t buried in a bunch of confusing fine print, which made deciding before renting so much easier. I’ve wasted time before trying to figure out what’s allowed and what isn’t, so this was a nice change.

"Surprisingly useful for figuring out gear"
I originally just went on the site to check out camera rentals, but I ended up spending more time reading their guides than I expected. The explanations are easy to follow and don’t feel overly technical, which was nice since I’m still learning. It helped me get a better idea of what lens I probably needed before booking anything. I kind of got the feeling their guides are written by people who actually shoot a lot, though I could be totally wrong. Either way, helpful if you’re still figuring out photography.

"Solid rental experience"
I’ve used aperturent a few times now, and it’s been a easy experience each time. They had the Canon lens I needed, plus a backup camera body, which was a relief. The site is simple enough to use, and the selection is ridiculous in a good way. I’d definitely use them again.

"Pickup was easy"
Doing local pickup was convenient and definitely saved me some shipping time. My gear was already set aside when I got there, which was nice, but the counter process dragged a bit—just a few extra minutes of waiting around while they checked things. Overall, it wasn’t a bad experience, just average.

"Verification was fine just a little slow"
Signing up on Aperturent was simple honestly. The only thing that dragged a bit was the verification. I thought it would be faster but I just had to wait around and check my email a couple times. It all worked out in the end so I can’t really complain too much. Just wish that part was a little smoother.

"Damage coverage just made things easier"
I rented a lens and added the damage protection, and it just gave me a lot more peace of mind. I felt way less stressed using it outside. It was a simple add-on, the price felt fair, and there was no weird hassle.

"Good lens, but the price adds up"
I rented a lens once and it worked totally fine, no complaints there. But once you add shipping and the extra little fees, you start to feel like it’s not as good of a deal as you thought. It’s probably useful if you’re in a bind and really need something for a shoot, but for just a few days, it felt a bit pricey for me

I rented a lens from aperturent.com and had a good experience overall. The lens showed up really clean, with no scratches on the glass, both caps included, and everything worked exactly like it should. The shipping box was a little beat up, but the gear itself was totally fine, which is what mattered to me. It seems like they actually inspect their equipment before sending it out. If you’re thinking about renting a lens and just want something reliable without a lot of hassle, I’d say they’re worth checking out. I’d rent from them again.
